THE EAST ANGLIAN STORYTELLING FESTIVAL – EARLY BIRD TICKETS ON SALE!

‘Early Bird’ evening tickets for the East Anglian Storytelling Festival are now on sale for a limited time at a knock-down price! Tickets available from Ticketgun: http://tgun.it/e/994

This year’s Festival will be held at Cressing Temple Barns, near Witham, Essex on 6th June 2020.   From 10am, the festival will feature story walks, workshops, games and stories for children and adults and chances for anyone to tell a story. Daytime attendance is free, with some ticketed special events that will be released in the New Year.

Our evening session for adults will feature enthralling performances of story theatre for adults and older children from two of the UK’s accomplished storytellers, Nick Hennessey and Sarah Rundle.

Nick Hennessey is an internationally acclaimed storyteller, playwright, folk singer, song writer and musician. He has told stories for more than 20 years, performing at venues such as the Southbank Centre and the Royal Albert Hall.. http://nickhennessey.co.uk/

The dynamic, irreverent and definitely un-twee Sarah Rundle is a professional storyteller and actor based in West London. She has performed at the Earls Court and Milton Park festivals, and worked with the New Wimbledon Theatre. http://www.sarahrundle.co.uk/

Marion Leeper, from the Fabulation, says: ‘This year’s festival has a theme of ‘Roots’.  Nick’s stories, rooted deep in the landscape, and Sarah’s iconoclastic delving into the murkier corners of history are going to bring this festival to life and definitely make sure we strike some sparks and make some noise.’

Jo Norris, from Cressing Temple Barns, says: ‘Cressing Temple Barns are a hidden gem and a perfect place for stories.  We think the storytelling festival is a wonderful match for our space, and we’re looking forward to welcome the East Anglian storytellers to Cressing.’

The East Anglian Fabulation is a group of storytellers committed to spreading the word about storytelling, a traditional art-form that is gaining a cult-following in today’s world.
