Community Projects '24
Our projects come with thanks to Arts Council England, who have enabled us to support new and emerging talent, and to go out into the community to work with local schools and community groups.
We are so excited to be extending our links into the Stowmarket community that has welcomed us so warmly. We will be building on our links with local schools and with two talented local storytellers, Hannah Brailsford and Dave Tong, will get local children performing their own stories in the Tithe Barn to their family and friends to launch the festival. Footprints Theatre will work with traveller-heritage writer and broadcaster Dan Allum to enable young people to devise and perform a storytelling piece linked to the Museum’s magnificent collection of traveller caravans.

Storytellers At Stowmarket Library - All Welcome
We are doing free community storytelling in Stowmarket Library on four consecutive Saturdays running up to the festival. Stories for the whole family, stories that give a taste of our festival. Just turn up!

Footprints Theatre Company Easter Theatre School
Join us for a 4-day drama school for aspiring performers aged 8 to 14! Led by professional actors and directors from Footprints Theatre Company, you’ll embark on a creative journey to craft a performance for the East Anglian Storytelling Festival on Sunday 19 May.
During the four days (8 April, 9 April, 10 April, 12 May), you’ll take part in interactive drama and movement workshops at the museum, igniting your imagination and honing your acting skills. Together, we’ll explore your ideas and weave them into an exciting production.
The culmination of your hard work will be a spectacular performance in the museum grounds on the final day of the Storytelling Festival - 19th May. Invite your family, friends, and festival visitors to see your talents on stage.
